"I guess I can see how, if you were a salamander, the term Amphibian-American would be a step up but, it seems to me, you should call a toad a toad. Frogs ribbet alone. Bonding does not come naturally to us. We don't have to "find the tadpole within", unravel the mysteries of swamp life or find scape-frogs to blame. We don't croak on about our parents or call ourselves "adult children of amphibians" in need of "twelve-hop" recovery programs. Frogs expect to get warts, expect to be green, expect to have hundreds of brothers and sisters and expect to have working parents. Do unto all frogs as you would have them do unto you. Turn the other flipper. It's okay to take advice, but be careful what you believe. Keep your little globed eyes open."
